Lots of things went down in December. But a few of them were whimsical hikes far away from everyone else. This post features the beauty of Maui when you want to get away
We met a cat we named Fred along a trail |
Someone else keeps water and food nearby for randoms to fill up for the friendly cat Fred |
And we found wild guava growing in the trees |
They were ripe and yummmmmy! |
That's a butterfly in the upper right corner. Thats why I am so excited in this shot, to get a photo with the butterfly in my frame |
The trail we were on is an overgrown abandoned gold course. So the hidden path we found was, at parts, a golf ball graveyard. Yes we grabbed a few. |
The "duck pond" as everyone knows it by, at the top of this trail |
Golfs balls and juggling |
The North route is very dangerous and scary for the first few times (more dangerous than the Hana road), but so beautiful |
How stoked would you be to live in that little beach hut.. |
It's hard to get a day off together. But a day off in Maui allows for unexpected hidden trail hikes up a mountain side and random road trips along scary roads just for fun. We are hoping for many more of these in January when we make more of an effort during our wedding and Maui anniversary month. Third year wedding anniversary and second year anniversary of living on Maui on January 13. And believe me, our adventure on January 13 will be unforgettable. Stay tuned to find out...
